Since the early 1980's Jilian Grey has appeared at notable venues from Washington, DC to South Florida. Critics along the eastern seaboard have marveled at Grey's versatility. Under her father's tutelage, a Metropolitan Opera alumna, she formed the basis for her style that is passionate, honest and natural.

A third generation performer has provided the environment that has nurtured a love for music and set in motion a successful career. Receiving a Masters in Performing Arts from Buffalo University has instilled charismatic stage presence that is infused in her vocal style. Grey has appeared in films such as "If Ever I See You Again" which was singled out for honors. Touring six European cities, she has shared the stage with Melba Moore, Freddie Cole and Keeter Betts. Jil's first love are the American jazz classics, but she also brings her unique sound to a wide variety of contemporary music.
We are very excited to welcome Jesse Smith to the HotHouse line-up! A native of Rhode Island, Jesse started singing and dancing, pretty much before he could walk. Landing rolls in commercials, movies and live theatre. Pursued by Sony Records to join a new group called “Body Lingo”, their single was a national dance club hit and the album was released on itunes. Jesse is consummate performer, with a diverse repertoire, accompanied by great moves, and a passion for entertaining. His talent is not limited to performing, he is also an accomplished song writer, continuing to work on his craft.
Versatile and accomplished drummer Ric Haddad, has toured Europe, South America, and has played on both coasts of the United States. He has accompanied rock and pop legends such as Carly Simon and blues diva Maria Muldaur. Haddad was also recruited to play with the incomparable Jesse Norman, Sarah Vaughn and with members of the innovative MCA recording artists; the New York Voices. He performed in Las Vegas with Ace Freely from Kiss and members of the Little Richard Band. Haddad has done numerous recording sessions in New York and Boston, and is one of the most sought after drummers in the New York tri-state area. Having formed the HotHouse band along with Jilian Grey, they have become the premier band in the North East.
A long list of credits underscore saxophonist Bobby Nunno's experiences. From opening for legendary blues artists B.B. King, Delbert McClinton, Robert Cray, Buddy Guy and Jeff Lorber (who gave Kenny G his start) to performing with band members of Michael Bolton, Sypro Gyra, 'NSync and David Sanborn. He has collaborated with musicians from Orleans, Jimi Hendrix and Tower of Power; a personal highlight. Bobby has worked under the direction of Charles Byrd (NBC Orchestra) and Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus. Among his recording credits, Bobby can be heard on numerous Pocket Songs (a division of Music Minus One), the "Inside Video" theme song airing on NBC, radio and television commercials for The Advocate and NBO Clothing. In addition to playing Saxophone, Bob's talents extend to the piano, guitar, bass, flute and clarinet. He received a Masters in Music Education from Western Connecticut State University School of Music and is currently Band Director at West Shore Middle School in Milford, CT. Bobby's diverse musical vocabulary, from funk to jazz, his proficiency as a studio musician, teacher and of course, live performer, make him an invaluable member of the HotHouse Band.

Steve Gregory is a modern Singer-Songwriter & Guitarist. Steve has opened for: Lifehouse, Los Lonely Boys, Landon Pigg, Brett Dennen, Brendan James, Elliot Yamin, Teddy Geiger, and Jeffery Gaines as well as sharing numerous gigs with Northeast regional acts like Big Shot & One Sweet World. He has 2 CDs available for sale on iTunes & or visit SteveGregoryMusic.com! Steve's song "I Won't Let You Down" was a winner in Digital Cafe Tour's 2007 songwriting/artist competition. His song "I Swear" was featured on which caters to mainly national acts. In 2010, his song "Her Face" received an honorable mention in the Song Of the Year contest. As a pro guitarist, Steve has worked with many great acts & professionals such as: Natalie Stoval, Rachel Solomon, Michael Teoli, Jeff Ramsey, Wat the Funk, The Groove Junkies, Article 19, Traci Root, Ashley Caldwell, and more. Spanning genres from Rock, Funk, Jazz, RnB, Country, and Pop.
Steve has been playing saxophone, clarinet, flute and jazz piano professionally for the past 25 years. After high school Steve joined the Navy and was appointed director and arranger of the U.S.Naval Band in Great Lakes IL, writing & arranging music for both wind ensemble and jazz band. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Bridgeport with a double major in Music Education & Jazz Studies, Steve began teaching privately and currently maintains an active schedule of private instruction, in addition to teaching adjunct at Fairfield University for the past 12 years. Being proficient on many instruments gives Steve a versatility and approach that is vital to the overall HotHouse sound. Steve also freelances on both saxophone and keyboards with a number of bands in the tri-state area, including 2 national tours playing the lead tenor chair with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, playing in the pit orchestras of countless musicals in theater venues throughout the state, and serving as musical director for Billy Genuario's 'Rockers & Crooners' show.
Local legend, Benj LaFevre, has an impressive list of recording and performing credits. Benj’s style of playing can be best described as groove oriented and rock solid, some of his nicknames include “The Rock” and “Sheriff Low Notes”!!
Benj is a founding member of the Northeast Funk/Rock band Deep Banana Blackout in 1995, touring the US and overseas for many years. Benj also played with Maceo Parker, Clyde Stubblefield, and Fred Wesley (James Brown), Warren Haynes, John Scofield, Derek Trucks, Michael Ray (Kool & the Gang, Sun Ra), Rebirth Brass Band, George Porter and Leo Nocentelli (The Meters), Chris Franz and Tina Weymouth (Talking Heads, Tom Tom Club), to name a few.
For those of you who love the amazing Vicki Battle, well, we do too. However, the commute from her new home in Oklahoma wasn't really working out! We stay in close touch, and wish her all the best with whatever she does. Thank you, Vicki, for all the years you filled our hearts with your voice.
